Reflect, re-imagine on building your creative and community legacy with photographer Khaliyesa Barbara Minishi.This workshop and photo walk with Barbara Minishi, is an internal and external experience that invites photographers to feel through and proactively re-asses on the theme of 'Legacy'. Where are you now on your creative path and what is calling to be created through you? How can you be proactively intentional with your connection, co-creation and impact with your process, practice and community?
With reflection on her 20 year photography career, Ms. Khaliyesa Minishi will share the importance of seeding and nourishing short & long term projects that contribute to cultivating internal and external depth in your creative path.

October 31st - Panel Discussion - The Democratisation of Image-Making: Implications for the Future

With the presence of cameras in nearly every pocket, there's a proliferation of images online. This is causing a shift in the photojournalism landscape and how society views and uses images. Once a field dominated by specialised professionals, smartphones, social media, affordable high-quality cameras and more recently accessibility to generative imaging technologies, have all worked to democratise image-making.This conversation aims to explore how these new realities are influencing photojournalism, raising questions about the role of professionals, ethics, accuracy, and the future of visual storytelling.The main objective is to foster a discussion on how best to navigate this ever evolving landscape and its complicated effects on photojournalism as a profession. Our focus will be on the evolving roles, challenges, and opportunities it presents.
November 21st - Photography on the Hustle: On Communications & Marketing
