Arthi was diagnosed with cancer during the height of pandemic COVID-19 in 2020, and she was isolated and unable to meet friends and relatives during the terrible period. She was experiencing emotional and psychological distress at the time, and her family was important in her recovery. Throughout Arthi 's treatment, her family and friends were concerned, but they never stopped showing her love, giving her hope, and making her stronger.
When Arthi was diagnosed with cancer, she was perplexed since her eating habits were clean, her family had no cancer history, and she was confused as to why this occurred to her, so she started asking herself countless questions, and she is now incredibly strong to conquer any challenge.
"I'm sorry to inform you that your breast cancer has progressed to your liver." My doctor may have used these words when he told me I was now metastatic, but I honestly don't recall. The feelings I recall are shock, perplexity, and a sense of approaching doom. I underwent a liver abrasion, mastectomy and uterus removed as a precaution, and the cancer has spread to the sternum and newly found lymph nodes, says Aarti.
Aarti continues to undergo monthly therapy through an IV port in her chest with a mix of "maintenance" medications.
A Mother's Support
Arthi has always been close to her mother Simar, but she feels the cancer diagnosis has brought them even closer. And it was Arthi 's mother who taught her one of the most important lessons throughout her cancer treatment: to find ways to stay positive and cheerful despite all that was going on Simar is her closest friend, not simply her mother. Throughout her cancer journey, her parents have been her biggest source of support.
Diet is an extremely significant component of the process, and as a result, the most of meals will consist of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Arthi prays in her room; her faith keeps her going. She practices mindfulness meditation with deep breathing to relieve stress and concentrate on everyday tasks, which provides her with excellent relaxation.
Arthi says, "My message to society is that life is full of challenges. Obviously, we all face a range of hurdles in everyday life. However, the way in which we approach the problem with our attitude and enthusiasm is important.
We will eventually overcome the obstacle, but the journey and our attitudes are what really essential. It is key to approach the situation with hope, courage, and a positive attitude since it determines the whole journey."

Arthi's mother gives her a gentle massage after the chemotherapy.
On the last day of the last chemotherapy treatment, she brought a cake to thank the nurses, but they noticed a lymph node again.
Her daughter is always with her in everything, and Aarti wishes to watch them grow. She prays to God for a miracle to eliminate the cancer cells in her body so that she may see her children grow.
Despite several surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, Aarti never lost up hope. Her self-assurance prompted her to enter in a fashion show, where she took first place. And she says, so this has happened to me, what should I do? I can sit and cry so that I am spoiling myself and others, but I have to move in life to keep myself and others happy, and I have always thought of overcoming this and not to worry because happiness is infectious, and I want to keep my surrounding cheerful.
She lost a hair as a consequence of the treatment's side effects, and her friends gave her a wig, which she occasionally used but now prefers to remain bald.
Aarti hopes to inspire other cancer survivors by teaching them how to get in shape after going through treatment.
Her skin frequently burns after radiation treatment, so she uses a cucumber pack once a week to soothe the irritation, and her mother applies a cucumber pack to her face to relieve discomfort.
Aarti never fails to tell her daughter a story, and she always tries to spend time with her children, which she sometimes fails due to treatment, but her mother accompanies and encourages the children so that they never miss her
Aarti penned an universal message and prays every day. She loves Buddhism and prays for the universe as well as all cancer survivors.
