This series deals with sexual identity through a representation of masculine homosexuality. I wanted to treat this subject in opposition to the existing codes of today’s « gay » imagery.
Some of these pictures make echo to the Renaissance period. Moves, sensuality, lines and perspectives of the bodies bring like an elevation and weightlessness to models. This weightlessness on some pictures represents the moment when only beauty and love matter, stronger than any caricature or any “a priori”. I had to preserve feelings and sensations, proofs of passion, and manage to bring them together with the search of esthetic and lines from bodies sculpted by light.
The evolution of my approach brings me to look for what can’t be material in the baroque elevation, between light and shadow.
