06.10.2023.- Templo de Kukulkán "La serpiente emplumada", mide 60 metros por lado, en la base. Se eleva en nueve cuerpos decrecientes con una altura de 24 metros, alcanzando así la meseta que sostiene el templo, y éste levanta sus muros ocho metros más.
Cada fachada de la pirámide, ostenta una ancha escalinata formada de 91 peldaños de piedra.
La base principal de las escaleras contiene colosales cabezas escultóricas, de figura de serpiente.


Kukulkan Temple "The Feathered Serpent", measures 60 meters per side, at the base. It rises in nine decreasing sections with a height of 24 meters, thus reaching the plateau that supports the temple, and it raises its walls eight meters higher.
Each facade of the pyramid has a wide staircase made up of 91 stone steps.
The main base of the stairs contains colossal sculptural heads, resembling a snake.

Su nombre significa “Agua del norte”.

La palabra ahuehuete procede del Náhuatl (lengua de los aztecas o mexicanos) y significa “viejo del agua”.
El ahuehuete se convirtió en el árbol nacional de México gracias a su belleza, esplendor, tamaño y por ser testigo de la historia de este país.
Los ahuehuetes se caracterizan por su considerable altura, la cual puede alcanzar los 40 metros y su tronco puede medir 14 metros de diámetro. El ejemplar más antiguo se encuentra hoy en el atrio de una iglesia católica del siglo XVIII en Oaxaca, México y tiene al menos 1200 años que, según algunos, podrían ser hasta 3000. Su tronco, con una circunferencia de 42 metros, es uno de los más grandes del mundo.

The word ahuehuete comes from Nahuatl (language of the Aztecs or Mexicans) and means “old man of the water.”
The ahuehuete became the national tree of Mexico thanks to its beauty, splendor, size and for being a witness to the history of this country.
The ahuehuetes are characterized by their considerable height, which can reach 40 meters and their trunk can measure 14 meters in diameter. The oldest specimen is today found in the atrium of an 18th century Catholic church in Oaxaca, Mexico and is at least 1,200 years old, which, according to some, could be up to 3,000. Its trunk, with a circumference of 42 meters, is one of the largest in the world.

Arqueólogos y espeleólogos han encontrado huesos y piezas de joyería en sus aguas de unos 50 metros de profundidad y 80 desde la superficie desde donde descienden largas raíces de los árboles en forma de lianas.

Ik Kil was considered a sacred place by the Mayans who used it as a place of human sacrifice to Chaac, their god of rain. Archaeologists and speleologists have found bones and pieces of jewelry in its waters about 50 meters deep and 80 meters from the surface from where long tree roots descend in the form of lianas.

El templo debe su nombre los doscientos pilares redondos y cuadrados que contienen relieves de guerreros a tamaño natural y algunos prisioneros maniatados, así como a las pinturas con escenas de batalla.

06.10.2023.- Caracol u Observatorio del yacimiento arqueológico de Chichén Itzá, Patrimonio de la Humanidad declarada por la UNESCO en 1088 y Maravilla del Mundo desde 2007. 
Se cree que este edificio, una de las pocas estructuras circulares construidas por los mayas, se utilizó para observaciones astronómicas, a través de aberturas en la parte superior de la torre.


Caracol or Observatory of the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá, a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO in 1088 and Wonder of the World since 2007. This building, one of the few circular structures built by the Mayans, is believed to have been used for astronomical observations, through openings in the top of the tower.
06.10.2023.- Muros del Muul Tzek, que en lengua maya corresponde al tzompantli para la cultura náhuatl, "tzontli" que significa cabeza o cráneo y "pantli" que es hilera o fila.
Los muros llevan relieves de cientos de cráneos en diferentes estados de descomposición, mientras que, en las escalinatas, se observa una procesión de guerreros semidescarnados, portando lanzas y cabezas humanas a manera de trofeos, en seguida, se ven águilas, que portan corazones entre sus garras.
La función de esta estructura es la exhibición de poder por parte de los gobernantes de Chichén Itzá, a través de un discurso basado en la violencia.


Walls of Muul Tzek, which in the Mayan language corresponds to the tzompantli for the Nahuatl culture, "tzontli" which means head or skull and "pantli" which is row or row.
The walls bear reliefs of hundreds of skulls in different states of decomposition, while, on the stairs, you can see a procession of semi-fleshed warriors, carrying spears and human heads as trophies, then you can see eagles, carrying hearts between His claws.
The function of this structure is the display of power by the rulers of Chichén Itzá, through a discourse based on violence.
