Last year, 2022 Pakistan received torrential monsoon that caused havoc in the North Western province of KPK, Southern Punjab and hitting hardest Sindh province leaving the one third part of country under water. Pakistan received nearly 15 inches rainfall that makes 375 milli-meters. Many of the cities in Sindh were under water almost took 6 months to recede the flooding water. The flood affected 20.6 million people that makes 15% of the total population of country. According to a latest report It swept away 1718 human lives including children. More than 1.2 million livestocks were killed due to this calamity. According to an estimate 2.1 million houses had been damaged or completely vanished. Another stats share that 9.3 million acres crop had been inundated. The flood water exposed the affected people and livestock to waterborne skin diseases and out-broke other epidemics. Moreover, this flood damaged public infrastructure as 13,000 kilometers roads and 410 connecting bridges. The flood interrupted schooling of 3.5 million children as 26,636 schools have been damaged or totally destroyed.
