Twisted Figures

By: Kenneth Sookhai

Unconcerned with the world, I FOCUS inside.

My thoughts drift between my wants and needs.

I am BRUSHED, what has brushed me, who or what intrudes.

Gaze shifts unwillingly, DAMN, I am must have forgotten the do not disturb.

I turn, I turn slowly, I am drawn, I am drawn to EYES.

Why am I drawn, WHY am I moving?

My body is moving to another's presence.

I am warmed by an internal desire that didn't exist minutes ago.

No this must STOP, I must stop to preserve.

The flame of desire and need are two strong.

My FEET are moving, why are my feet moving?

My head lifts, our eyes lock, my feet and hands MOVE.

WE spin, we twist, we are TWISTED FIGURES.

I am in you and you are in me

The DANCE is all we have, the dance is all we need

UNTIL THE END.
