It started with a conversation. I was just about to graduate with a BFA and had no clue what to do with it. I found myself sitting in Philadelphia most loved park, Rittenhouse Square, discussing with friends the closing doors of opportunity as we graduate during a recession. All of my college friends were struggling to find work, and unless I created my own doors to open, I knew I would be telling the same story. It was that night I decided to leave Philadelphia and begin to travel. I packed my bags and hit the road with my camera, my dog, and my dreams. My ambition quickly became a reality and my home slowly began to disappear, as my journey grew into a story of American Dreams and the search for true freedom.

Over the past five years I have spent my time traveling and photographing my home; the United States of America. My goal is to experience and understand the diversity of which my country celebrates, as we are, the land of the free. I have compiled a series of photos that illustrate what I believe to be the most beautiful and unique places of America. In this booklet, you will find some of the many images I wish to share with the American public. Although I feel my portfolio has vast insight to present, I know my work will never be finished as my drive to explore is fierce, and my options are endless. In conclusion, I think you will enjoy the images I have collected, and as such, I will allow the juxtaposition of American beauty and oddities speak for themselves.
