My photographic art has belatedly come into my life, but not in the autumn of her. Speaking in classical terms, my photographic conception is still in its 'Prelude'.
I was born on August 6, 1960 in Guatemala City. During my undergraduate studies, I became emerged in classical music, literature, astronomy, philosophy and biographies. That said, science has played a major role in my life. I identiy with Goethe's conception.
How do I define the photographic era when I have to live?
My artistic intuition tells me that the current photographic era will change, and the only thing I am sure is that my artistic-photographic conception is very different from today. Currently, I have seen images of great photographers who leave a profound impact in the spirit of an individual. Images that speak to us through its literal aesthetic. Still, I believe an image transcends its aesthetic. A gorgeous photograph is not only visually beautiful, it conveys a transcendental meaning to the viewer.
In the midst of thousands of photographic works in the world, my work is essentially in a constant changing and evolving transformation.
As I learn about the timeless photographers, including Vivian Maier, Ansel Adams, Julio Zadic (Guatemala) — the list continues to grow every day.
My approach to photography is that an image is: 'a concept that was stolen from the past and suseptible to be transcendental.'
Currently, my photography is a personal timeless adventure I try to live with intensity.
