In recent years, in Italy, few people have taken on a very important role in the political life of the country: Beppe Grillo, the comedian, founder and head of the party called "Movimento 5 Stelle", now in decline; Matteo Renzi, a politician, former head of the Italian government, former head of the Democratic Party who has now left to create his own party and Matteo Salvini, head of the right-wing Lega Nord (Northern League), a former interior minister before his government fell a few months ago which has led the Lega from just over ten percentage points to become the relative majority party in Italy. Matteo Salvini in recent months has traveled through Italy for the next regional elections, already won in the Umbria region, for decades governed by leftist parties, and in January 2020 in Emilia Romagna, for over half a century governed by the left. I photographed one of his rallies in Reggio Emilia, where I live, to report the fervor, dedication and loyalty of his supporters who call him "their captain"
