On May 31st, 2020 I was out getting a helmet to protect my head for who knows what. I was told that journalists were being targeted not only by the police but also by people attending protests. With this in mind I went out to get a helmet knowing I would very possibly be subject to some kind of violence weather directly or indirectly. At the sports store I heard a worker mention that there was going to be a protest at Montana and Ocean. Not 2 miles from my home. I went home to grab my gear and head out. At first I thought that the protest was a march that would be heading along Ocean and into Venice but it turns out it was pretty much staying at the corner of Ocean and Montana. I began to document what I saw....
