The drug K2 which is synthetic marijuiana, also known as " Spice," has sent thirty three users of the drug to emergency rooms in Brooklyn on Tuesday 12th 2016. The K2 epidemic became a local crisis on the border of two develponing neighborhoods, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bushwick. In the area around the subway station at Myrtle Avenue and Broadway. The NYPD after months of raids and arrests, banned the drug and threatened buisness owners who sold K2 with closings, heafty fines and jail time which caused an 85% reduction in K2-related emergency room visits in May in New York City.
