HISTORIES OF COLOR @ICP
juan orrantia
Oct 2, 2020
I'll be teaching a short course on the Histories of Color at ICP, International Center for Photography, this November. We will critically engage issues and artistic strategies at the crossroads of color and photographic representation. Topics include depictions of Africa in the work of Leni Riefenstahl, the racial bias of photography, and  the relationship between color, heteronormativity, and the white male gaze among others.  Join me!
