Kazi Riasat Alve

Kazi Riasat Alve is a documentary photographer and photojournalist based and working in Bangladesh. His works mostly focused on the social and humanitarian issues related to the human displacement; displacement resulting from refugee crisis, environmental issues, social injustice and so on. Kazi's works has been widely published and recognized from various part of the world. His works appeared on National Geographic Magazine, New Yorker Magazine, Sunday Times Magazine, BBC, Time Lightbox, VICE, Huffington Post, Guardian, Yahoo News, Mashable and many more publications. His works has been so far exhibited various part of the world, including south Asian region to Europe and North America. Kazi was the recipient of National Geographic-Canon Explore to inspire award 2014, was commended at Ian Parry scholarship in 2013 and finalist in 2015, was nominated for Joop Swart Masterclass 2014 and 2018, was finalist at Environmental Photographer of The Year 2015, Shortlisted in Sony World Photography Awards 2013 and finalist in 2015. New Yorker Magazine featured Kazi as one of the emerging young photographers in October 2013.
