14-foot tall Pearl the Squirrel, supposedly the tallest squirrel statue in the world, and mascot for the Berdoll Pecan Candy & Gift Company, received solar eclipse glasses befitting her size made by a company employee. She sits between Bastrop and Austin, Texas. Beautiful skies in Texas today, but it’s supposed to be cloudy with possible rain on the day of the eclipse.
