Monday Anthony was born in Lagos Nigeria. He is a visual storyteller who initially started his career in documentary and conceptual photography. His inaugural project “The Silent Majority Project” – was a focus on training young people in Photography and Art in Makoko community, facilitated by two colleagues, Adolpus Opara and Olusola Otori.

Monday work often explores socio-cultural issues, politics, spirituality, memories, sports, identity themes and nostalgic elements vis-a-vis the present and all juxtaposed with the banal.  
 
He has exhibited in several festivals including the Lagos Photo Festival, FotoParty and The Nlele Institute (TNI), 12th Rencontres de Bamako and the ‘Silent Majority’ project all in Lagos. He has exhibited in several European cities including Barcelona and Berlin. Monday’s work have been referenced in several books and journals including ‘Africa Under the Prism’, 6mois magazine (France), Lagos Photo Summer School, Camera Austria, Journ Afrique and Clam substance magazine (France) and the 2019 Bamako Encounters off exhibition by The Nlele Institute (TNI) etc.
 
He was shortlisted for the African Artist Foundation/ Etisalat National Amateur Photography (2010) and received a certificate of excellence for his innovations. Monday lives and works in Lagos.
