Summary
Ukrainian Refugees in Berlin
Assignment for Neue Zuercher Zeitung in March 2022

“We pray for peace, but we don’t believe in it”: Ukrainian refugees in Berlin are thankful to be alive. Ten thousand Ukrainians have arrived in the German capital within the last days. One woman says that her relatives in Russia didn’t believe her when she told them it it’s a war. Putin’s propaganda is stronger.

Together with NZZ reporter Hänsjörg Müller, I met Ukrainian refugees in an apartment hotel in Berlin, where they found shelter on 02. March, 2022.
