Dia De Los Muertos in Pilsen
The 45th Annual Pilsen Día De Los Muertos celebration took place in the Pilsen Neighborhood of Chicago. This longest running celebration is family oriented event and was put together by After School Matters and the Chicago Park District.
Dia de Los Metros or the Day of the dead is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2, and involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died. These remembrance may be a sober event or a joyous and humorous event as family members share with each other amusing and funny memories they have of their loved ones.
