Borned in Venezuela, i have been living in Europe for the last years, first travelling all around and after based in Barcelona - Spain where I studied fine arts photography until 2006. Not so long after finished my degree I realized that my way, as I always felt, was inside photojournalism and compromised and engaged documentary photography. Lately I have been focusing more on personal projects related to social issues at the time that collaborate with photographic work for print and web publications in Venezuela, France, USA, Germany and some other countries. I have work in Haiti, Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Syria, India and covered several socio-political issues in many countries.
At the same time I have been working as an instructor and assistent in different photography workshops in Caracas, Buenos Aires, Port au Prince, Mexico DF and Barcelona where i share my experience as a photographer and teach the importance of photography as a tool to promote solidarity and understanding between peoples and communities.Â
At this moment my work is mainly focused in Venezuelan socio-political actuality and how this ever changing situation affects everyday life of Venezuela inhabitants and have strong influences in phenomeno like the wave of violence the country is enduring.
I make part of Fractures Photo Collective, a collective of photographers that have different visions but share the common idea of the photography as a social tool more than merely a merchandise. Â
I am based between Venezuela and France and I am available for assignments all around the world. Also speak spanish, french, italian and english.Â
