Looking Through the Glass
"He was part of my dream, of course—but then I was part of his dream, too!" in Through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carroll. This photo album, 'Looking Through the Glass', explores how we look through objects to see. We look through panes of glass, frames, binoculars, obstacles, our own preconceptions - and the objects of our regard look back. What we look through, allows us to see - at the same time, interposing itself between subject and object. The photographer is always 'looking through the glass'. The photographic lens documents things as they are, or were, but also makes images which can mirror the viewer's imagination. PM
