I am a cultural reporter based in New York. I write about all sorts of subjects, but tend to focus on photography. I contribute to The New York Times Lens Blog, NPR, National Geographic, and more.
I am the author of "Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment,†a finalist for "Best Photography Book†in the Seventy-Second Annual Pictures of the Year International (POYi) contest.
In Feb, 2015, I served as the Studio Art Senior Seminar "outside evaluator†for the winter term at Dartmouth College.
I also play the Renaissance lute, occasionally.
