Siddharth Jain
I am a self taught photographer from India. I took up photography after completing my post graduate studies in business administration from IIFT, Delhi in 2005 and graduate degree in Telecommunications Engineering .
I started taking pictures in state of Rajasthan where I was also working and gradually moved to photojournalism by 2007 after getting selected to attend workshops such as Young Asian Photographers Workshop 2006 at Angkor Photography Festival), VII at Kashmir (2007) with Gary Knight and TPW’s Focus at Monferrato 2007 (Italy) with Stanley Greene and Kadir Van Lohuizen.
This work from Rajasthan was then further shown at festivals such as Foto Freo 2008, Fotonoviembre 2007 , Angkor Photography Festival 2006 and Fotografia Rome.With the same work I won the national awards on photography in India TFA awards held in collaboration with Tasveer and showcased my first solo exhibition on Rajasthan at Angkor Photography festival.I continue to work on long term book project involvment on Rajasthan and cover stories of human interest.
 I recently started an initiative " Happy Camera Club†to teach photography to the underprivileged individuals in India. Alongside teaching,I am working in space of social entrepreneurship with an aim of providing low cost energy solutions to people living in rural and semi -urban environment but have very limted access to resources in India.
