Agbongua J. Kwadwo Buenortey, is a documentary photographer and a filmmaker from Ada in the Greater Region of Ghana but now his times are divided between Accra and Ada. His works delves more into traditional, culture and ethnicity with a deep personal connection to his hometown and has also dedicated his craft to telling stories of his people and highlighting the resilience of his tradition in the face of modernisation.
Buenortey pursued a one-year intensive photojournalism and photo documentary program at Dikan Centre in Accra. This new experience has enriched his skills and expanded his understanding of visual storytelling. 
In 2022, his short film documentary titled ‘THE WHITE GOLD’ was exhibited at Biennale Design Saint-Etienne.  
In 2024, he participated in a group photo exhibition titled ‘Someone Somewhere’, celebrating the inspirational African Photojournalist James Barnor.
