In this portrait series, I show a glimpse into the life of an Agunah.  Agunot (plural) are Orthodox Jewish women trapped in dead marriages against their will by recalcitrant husbands who refuse to grant a Jewish divorce, a Gett. I explore their loneliness and despair, never able to remarry unless their husband relents, and grants the Gett. Most of the women in this series have requested to not reveal their identity.

A portion of this series was published in Newsweek in 2015.
This series was exhibited at Yale University in 2016.
