The Oil Sands or Tar Sands is the largest industrial project in North America, larger than England or the US State of Florida.
These images show the ecological devastation of Bitumen mining operations cause around the Alberta town of Fort McMurray, as exemplified by the lack of reclamation of the Tailings Ponds and sulpher piles.
