Mayor Bruno Covas has advanced other holidays before Easter creating 10 days of holidays to reduce the flow of people in the city, and to try to increase rates of social isolation. An attempt to combat the high rates of mortality and overcrowding in hospitals at São Paulo city due to Covid-19, and also to try to prevent the full collapse of the health system that already exceeds 90% of its capacity to act.
