The primary outcomes of this project include an intimate 7x7 book with 112 images by student photographers from 32 schools in 14 countries and an interactive and responsive web platform designed by students at Syracuse University's Newhouse School, which has been awarded 1st Place American Web Design Award from Graphic Design USA and 1st Place Mini-Site/Special Section by SSND.
Working closely with the tremendously talented
Art Director and Designer Abby Legge, who led the design team, I personally selected and sequenced the images -- and wrote the forward -- for the book, and edited nearly 100 multimedia story submissions for final web publication onÂ

I cannot thank enough
Mike Davis, my advisor and mentor, whose idea to have students of photography recapture
Edward Steichen's 1955 Family of Man was the genesis of this project, as well as our project partners,
the Alexia Foundation,
PDN,
Photoshelter, and
ASMP, without whom this project would not have been possible.
