One particularly memorable experience occurred while photographing a family of brick workers in Myanmar. The father, Naing Lin, said, “We must have been friends in a past life. How else could you come all the way here (Myanmar), to find us in this brick factory when no one knows we are here?” Though he eventually passed away, his words serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of human connection and the profound experiences that emerge when we approach photography with empathy and authenticity.
