Andrea Hernández Briceño is a Venezuelan visual storyteller and National Geographic explorer based in Caracas. She has a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. She is an International Center of Photography and Eddie Adams Workshop alumni and has been included in lists such as 30 Under 30 Women Photographers by Artpil, PDN’s 30 New and Emerging Photographers to Watch and in 20 Rising Female Photojournalists by Artsy. Hernández Briceño uses different formats and a perceptive approach to magic to tell representative stories about gender, environment and social phenomena that put the dignity of participants in the center of narrative. She works in Latin America and the Caribbean, has been exhibited in New York, Paris, Mexico City and has just been awarded two POY Latams (2023). She has collaborated with The Washington Post, The New Yorker, El País, Libération and Time Magazine, among others.
