David Arribas (1978) is a freelance photographer based in Madrid, ( Spain ) .Interested in documentary reporting on sociocultural issues, he focuses his work within the country where he resides, claiming proximity issues as an object of study.
He began to study photography in a self-taught way in 2014, attending various courses and workshops seeking to find his own style within the world of photography. Over time, he acquired a personal visual language, fueled by his own experience and by conducting several master classes with authors of international renowned prestige from the Magnum or Vu agencies. He has published in media such as The Washington Post, Burn Magazine, Papel, Gara or FronteraD and his essays have been exhibited at the Helsinki Photo Festival (Finland), Imaginaria Festival, Basquedok Fest, Barcelona International Photography Fest and Human Rights (Spain) and Visa pour l´image for l'Association Nationale des Iconographes in Perpignan (France), among others.
Currently, he dedicates his work to giving visibility to topics considered taboo that, in some way, affect his personal life, seeking to generate a change in the social perception of them.
