CONÈIXER-NOS

"We spend our lives waiting for things to happen and the only thing that happens is life". With this phrase from Lluís Clupés, "Conèixer-nos" aims to discover the family origins through the figure of my grandparents and Caldes de Malavella, where they now spend some periods (especially summer) to disconnect from the city. Before that, however, this town of La Selva saw Lluís born and grow up until he was 12, when he left to work in Barcelona. There he met the one who would end up being his wife, Eulàlia Guerra.

Grandparents have always been haystacks. That is why walking the walls, which smell of antiquity, and walking with them along old paths while we chat and enjoy the small moments, help me to understand what my origin is and how it affects us what worries us so much: the passage of time.

The black and white photographs of the ancestors rest in the spaces of the house, watch over it and give a sense of harmony to this home where, even when no one is there, there is life. "La casa de Caldes" and its surroundings are a place to do nothing but let yourself be carried away. Living is easier than it seems. Getting to know us, no.
