The 21st of February 2015 is the anniversary of the massacre of Piazza Maidan who started the conquering of Ukraine by Russia.
Every body in Kiev is working hard to defend their country. Young boys leaving to the front-line as civilian volunteer, grannies and mum who send food or woollen socks and hats, taking care of refugees or sewing mimetic nets.
The battalion of Marussia, named by the woman who found it, is a paramilitary camp of extreme right (Pravi Sektor) where men and women train very hard and learn how to use weapon and basic military skills in order to defend them self or to leave to fight. Any kind of people as housewives, professionals, students, etc. meet there every Saturday scared by the Russian advance.
The common effort is huge and it seems like a civilian volunteer war. Ukraine has a poor and restricted army, as people said, and after the sudden occupation of Crimea they realized that they had to move by themselves. So different volunteer group rose up and it seems that everybody is doing something according
to their physical and economic resources or attitudes.
The war in the back-line is made by the civilian people at home, where people support it silently, take care of each other and bury their dead.
