About
Jonbides Bautista Gómez, 27 years old, is the son of Timoleon Bautista and Luz Ermila Gómez Claros. They are a Coreguaje indigenous family who grow their own food. They are originally from the Jericó Consaya indigenous reservation in the municipality of Solano, in the Colombian Amazon region. Jonbides was a religious student of the Claretians, where he was taught ethical values and spirituality. Because of this education he has God as his main strength. Additionally, he has technical studies as an electrician, nursing assistant and journalist. He currently lives in the city of Florencia, Caquetá, where he does his internship in a local television channel doing community news. He is punctual, responsible, respectful and good-humored. His greatest passion is journalism, in his free time he studies English and listens to music. At the moment he is writing a book called 'Batallón Coreguaje' which, once finished, he hopes to turn into a movie.
