William Bermudez

I am a filmmaker in my Junior year of college at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and am originally from Boston, MA. Born in 1999, I've been making movies with friends since I was a kid and love to tell stories that break down the notion of good and bad people and instead demonstrate the complexity of every individual. I feel that this work allows the viewer to see the world as a far less black and white reality and builds empathy with those who might experience a far different life than one’s own. My friend Sam Friedman, and I have been co-directing and writing together for three years and have grown massively in our own collaboration and communication with larger crews and casts. This fall we made two larger scale short films that we are submitting for this grant and this past summer we wrote a full length feature film that we are now in the process of rewriting.
