Jyo is an Editorial + Commercial Photographer as well as a Fine Artist based in Northern California. She is inspired by the beauty of the environment around her, nature, world cultures, travel, and just the perfectly imperfect in everyday lives and her work often reflects that. There’s something about the messes, finding little glimpses of beauty and joy in the chaos that surrounds us and embracing those little imperfections in our art.
She is a passionate storyteller and when her work showcases that; it humanizes everything she photographs by bringing in that extra layer of emotion. She is a storyteller at heart and loves to work with brands and spaces where her values and mission is aligned. As a fine art photographer, she mostly works with dancers, artists as well as on personal projects including self portraits with always a theme for her project. She loves working on women's portraiture and mostly focuses on bringing women's issues to light through her personal projects. Her work has been exhibited through various spaces and galleries and her goal is to have a Fine Art photo book published in the near future.
