Iraq is a war-torn country following the US invasion in 2004. Although the country has seen its dictator fall and the US troops withdraw, it is still plagued today by corruption and insecurities. On the 1st of October, 2019, thousands of Iraqis, most under the age of 30, went into the streets to protest against the corrupted government. The repression that unfolds killed 420 people and left 17,000 injured. In a country financially crippled, skateboard offers positivity for the youth.
