I'm a London-based professional photographer but also travel regularly to Shanghai and Beijing in China. Where previously, I spent 9 years living and shooting in China. I specialise in portrait and storytelling photography.
At 16, I got my first SLR which I played with for two years before deciding to make it my career. For university I moved to Wales and studied a BA (Hons) Photojournalism degree, graduating in 2005. In 2007 I arrived in China and established myself as a freelance photographer and covered the country extensively; from shooting illegal coal mines and dissident artists to making a portrait of the president of Taiwan. My photos have been published worldwide in international broadsheets, magazines, ads, annual reports and of course online.
When not shooting, I enjoy taking long walks, playing squash and planning trips. I speak Mandarin and so look forward to commissions in China in addition to London, UK and Europe.
