Monika Chabicovsky

born in Austria, Monika Chabicovsky studied Creative Documentary & Photojournalism by Magnum Photos & Spéos in Paris, France in 2019 / 2020. She sees herself as a contemporary photographer as well as a documentary photographer; combining both perspectives in projects – if needed.
Previously to her career as a photographer, Monika graduated in toxicology and regulatory aspects of drug development. She built her initial professional career on cancer research and founded a consulting company supporting biotech and pharma companies with the development of new drugs and vaccines back in 2006. Her background in toxicology now at least helps her to approach alternative, analogue photographic and printing techniques with some scientific background.
