Aldo Chacon is a Mexico City born photographer, based in Los Angeles. His work is focused on people, sports and the unique traits we all have as individuals. Diversity, architecture, movement, wardrobe and colors are elements Aldo relies on to tell a story and capture his subjects. He is passionate about creating work that moves people and shows them a new perspective. Most importantly he wants everyone to have a great time.
His work has been featured in several publications. He is a current member of Diversify photo and an American Photography 36 Winner.
I've lived in Europe, the US and Mexico and this has allowed me to understand different cultures and different ways of living. I bumped into photography after working for Disney as a cook in one of the parks. I got interested in documenting the life of people that worked there and our daily lives as employees of this massive empire. After some hard working months I decided it was time to leave and explore different possibilities and I moved to Barcelona, where I began to document the streets and learn the technical aspects of photography.
The streets and my daily captures where my school. I currently live in LA where I work in commercial, sports and documentary projects. I am grateful for every moment I get and every person I meet along my journey, and I hope I can keep doing this for a long time.
