On assignment for the Financial Times' Life & Arts sections to photograph playwright and former comedian/clown Jenny Lee for her piece entitled “Send in the Clowns: How Comedy Conquered Politics.” Her clever and insightful article investigates why comedians are being voted into public office. Think Ukraine’s recently elected president, Volodymyr Zelensky. And Beppe Grillo, the founder of Italy’s Five Star Movement, the largest single party in the Italian parliament.
