When asked why he was taking part in this event Mac offered, “I’m here because my friend posted about this event yesterday, and it was the first I heard about it. This is something that I actually do everyday anyway. I work a block from here so I bike past the White House as part of my commute everyday on my way home. Every single day I stop, rain or shine, and I sing specifically this song “Do You Hear The People Sing” from Les Mis at the White House as my form of protest. I’ve done it five days a week since January 21st. So yeah, when I heard they were formalizing it in a protest I was like well I have to go do that. So I did.”And Carolyn said, “I have been passionate about musicals my entire life. I moved to New York for several years to work as a musical theatre actor and here I am today. I found out about this on Facebook and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.”—Participants in the July 4th Flash Mob sang “Do You Hear The People Sing” from Les Miserable as a reminder to Trump that every day the resistance grows stronger, and the people of the United States demand his impeachment. The flash mob was organized by ReSisters, Hamilton Electors, Americans Against Trump, Sing in Solidarity, New Blue United and Americans Take Action. © Carla Cioffi LOVE Carla Cioffi Images July 4th White House Flash Mob Short URL: Visura.co/x/84169
