Courtnay Robbins is documentary photographer based in Los Angeles. She received her BFA in Photography and Media from the California Institute of the Arts. Courtnay’s work has been featured in TEMA, Tricycle, OURS Magazine, Viewfind, The Argonaut, Pasadena Weekly and Playa Vista Direct. She was shortlisted for the 2017 Lucie Foundation’s Emerging Photographer, was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2017 International Photography Awards and was recently featured in the Emerging Women in Photography Exhibit, sponsored by Canon, at Gré Gallery in Palm Springs. In addition, Courtnay was a 2018 resident of the Hermitage Artist Retreat. Courtnay is passionate about humanitarian issues, which has led her to work with non-profits such as Emergency, International Rescue Committee, Box Girls, and Puspha Basnet’s Butterfly Home. She also helped film the award-winning documentary about the resilience of Kurdish refugees, Resistance Is Life.
