In March 2023, after a series of peaceful demonstrations against the pension reform since January, a series of protests began that took place daily between two acts and always along a very symbolic route through Paris.

Starting at Place de la République after lunch and with the meeting of several unions and the population in general, the first act began. A joyful, singing demonstration that walked towards its final destination at Place de la Nation where, at the end of the afternoon, the mood grew and it was possible to time the events.

Every 30 minutes a new conflict between the population and the police broke out; Trash cans were set on fire, objects were thrown, stun bombs were thrown and our vision was obscured by the tears that fell on burning faces.

And everything started again in another cycle, every 30 minutes, ending around 8pm. These photos were taken in one of these cycles, on March 28th.
