Violeta Proaño (53) and Karla Jiménez (36) are teachers of basic preparatory education for 5-year-old children in the rural area of Yaruquí in Quito, Ecuador. Since the emergence of COVID-19 they decided to install a room in their home in a didactic classroom to continue online classes for their students. Through platforms like WhatsApp and Zoom they try to continue with education. Only half of the enrolled students have been able to continue studying. __ Violeta Proaño looks for didactic methods to teach her students to add, uses avocados as elements to teach addition of sets, she makes a video that she then sends to parents. 09 June
