Elizabeth Díaz is a native and habitant of Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl in the State of Mexico, she studied Communication Sciences at UNAM, specializes in audiovisual journalism with a focus on human rights, is the founder of the collective Sueña Dignidad and responsible for the communication area of CDH Vitoria. She has worked in national and international media as an independent photojournalist.
She has exhibited her work at the Museo de Arte Carillo Gil, the Universidad Veracruzana, the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas and the Centro Fotográfico Manuel Álvarez Bravo, among other self-managed spaces.
She has a diploma in audiovisual post-production from the Faculty of Arts and Design of the UNAM, a diploma in Human Rights Defense from the School of Youth Defenders of the CDH Vitoria and training in documentary filmmaking in the last two generations of Audiovisual Poles by the IMCINE.The topics she deals with in her work as an audiovisual journalist are gender violence, political persecution, social movements, forced disappearance and defense of territory.
