Inviting you to the upcoming open-air art installation, Wall of Silence – this will be the first sculpture by Donna Ferrato. A response to a call for art by the NYC Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) the sculpture will inhabit Tribeca's Collect Pond Park. The piece will be on view from June 25 through November 20, 2022. South of Canal Street, between the New York County Family Court and the Criminal Court Buildings, the site-specific piece will commune with citizens, families, lawyers, judges, and the diverse community of the criminal legal system it reflects back on.Ferrato, along with ENDGBV and Parks, will be hosting an opening event on June 25 that will feature survivors, advocates and city representatives, as well as a new work by the Gibney Move to Move Beyond Storytellers. The movement piece will be performed alongside the Wall of Silence in addition to a sound work that was created in collaboration with Ferrato.
