Eva Lepiz es una fotógrafa y educadora visual establecida en Oaxaca, México. Tiene la licenciatura en arquitectura, posteriormente su pasión por las artes visuales y el contacto cercano con las personas, la llevaron a perseguir una carrera en fotografía. Hace trabajo documental, fotoperiodismo y editorial; por más de ocho años ha enseñado en diversos programas del Centro de las Artes de San Agustín y del Centro Fotográfico Manuel Álvarez Bravo, eso le ha permitido tener acceso y conocimiento profundo sobre las diversas comunidades. Ella explora temas relacionados a la migración, familias, religión, y el sincretismo entre culturas. Desde el 2006 ha aprendido y trabajado con fotógrafos de agencias como Magnum Photos y National Geographic. Ha sido becaria del Centro de la Imagen en la Ciudad de México, del Foundry Photojournalism Workshop, Documentary photography dirigido por Joan Liftin y Antoine D'Agata, ha sido seleccionada para el New York Times Portfolio Review, 2021, recibió el apoyo de National Geographic Covid-19 Emergency Fund. Ha publicado en Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Eater. Ha trabajado para The Nature Conservancy en Belice fotografiando la reserva natural de la Selva Maya de Belice, y el proyecto de jaguares.

Eva Lépiz is a Mexican photographer and visual educator based in Oaxaca. She has a bachelor in architecture; later her passion for aesthetics and personal contact with people, led her to pursue a career in photography. She does documentary, editorial and commercial work; for eight years she’s been teaching in villages, in programs from Manuel Alvarez Bravo Photo Center and San Agustin Arts Center; that allows her to have a deep insight about these communities. She explores issues related to family, religion, migration, and syncretism among cultures.                        Since 2006 she’s been learning and working on the field with a variety of photographers such as Stella Johnson, Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb, David Alan Harvey, Steve McCurry and Raul Touzon, from them she learned how to approach and to tell a visual story.       
                                                 
She was selected to participate in “Contemporary Photography Seminar” from Image Center in Mexico City and San Agustin Arts Center, Foundry Photojournalism Workshop, Documentary Photography with Joan Liftin and Antoine d’Agata; selected for the New York Times Portfolio Review 2021. She has published with Washington Post, LA Times, worked with The Nature Conservancy, Eater, NOREVO, among others. She received the National Geographic Covid-19 Emergency Fund.
