I am a Brooklyn-based photographer specialising in environmental portraiture, and still life. I'm interested in stories. I want to create a record to describe how we saw ourselves, in the moment. Our collective moment, at the moment, feels important. I'm comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.
Additionally, I am a writer. I write about politics, art, and the interchange. I write with the philosophy that peoples minds are open widest when they are laughing. I have my BFA in Photography and Video from the School of Visual Arts, class of 2017.
My images have been in the SVA "Mentors†exhibition, Fast Company, and others. My writing has appeared in Atlas Magazine, the Observer Tribune, and others.
My current photo project, Incomplete Survey, explores contemporary American social groups, with an undercurrent of anxiety. I make environmental portraits of some far-flung groups of people. It's been a great adventure, and I'm honored to be let into peoples lives.
