Renee Greenlee

I am a photographer and educator working in Burlington, VT. I see the process of photographing as a means of communication, a dialogue between the experience and meaning of making an image. I use the medium as a tool to explore film, alternative processes and provide natural light photography sessions, working outside of the studio to create responsive portrait experiences.  For me, portraiture is a way of connecting and collaborating with the participants. The resulting image is something we make together.  As an educator, photography is a tool to connect with youth, providing opportunities to help them become visually empowered and create their own narratives.
