Earthquake Turkey Syria Aftermath
The earthquake brought a catastrophe on a biblical scale, flattening cities and turning countless homes into piles of stone, steel, and dust. Thousands of buildings have been destroyed or rendered unstable. It has left hundreds of thousands of people in need of aid. In Syria, this calamity comes almost 12 years into one of the most brutal and intractable conflicts of the 21st century.
According to relief agencies; in Syria alone, the United Nations said that as many as 5.3 million might have lost their homes.
