I am a storyteller, always chasing light to photograph and seeking to understand the people around me. I use photography and writing to amplify quiet stories, reveal the dignity of people, and celebrate the beauty of the natural world. My view of the world has been shaped by experiencing a nomadic childhood and life as a minority--both of which propelled me into advocacy for those on the margins of society.
I have been honing my craft since 2007, when I taught myself to shoot and began learning to tell a story with an image. At the University of Tennessee, I began to find my voice as a social justice-minded visual storyteller. Five years of working in commercial photography sharpened my technical skills as I created work for national clothing brand, Altar'd State, as well as served the following clients: HGTV, Food Network, the state of Tennessee, amongst many other local brands in Knoxville, TN.
In 2020, I pivoted to pursue a career working with nonprofits to tell stories that matter. Whether I am working independently or professionally, my goal is to create work that releases appreciation for life and empathy for people into the world.
I currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee and am available for work throughout the United States and abroad.
